Lay back, act natural, and let’s take some pictures

This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about You. Forget about posing and feeling stiff in front of the camera. Imagine going on a walk with an old friend, who just happens to have a camera with them. My process is free and flowy, and my only goal is to capture your true self.

The real You framed into a timeless portrait

Wardrobe Tips

Color Palette: A great color palette creates a flattering environment for skin tones, and helps everything come together during the editing process. Neutral, warm colors and deep jewel tones are ideal! Think terra cotta, blush, gold, hunter green, and lighter shades of denim. Avoid basic black and white, as they can appear stark and distracting in photos. Avoid bright, primary colors - these colors tend to reflect onto skin and create unflattering skin tones. Color palette is priority number one in setting the tone for a beautiful gallery!

Patterns: I love a good pop of pattern! Try to keep pattern to a MINIMUM, though - for example, a pattered scarf or undershirt can be a great way to add interest to an otherwise understated wardrobe. Too much pattern can be distracting and take away from the focus of the images

Matching: I recommend NOT matching your families wardrobe colors too closely; choose complimenting colors instead. Too much matching can look dated.

Movement: Fabric that moves adds a ton of life to your images! You'll have the option of changing as many times as you would like (time permitting), so consider a flowing dress or skirt for one of the outfits. Formal or casual, the movement a skirt provides will look amazing in your gallery!

Comfort: Comfort is key! Discomfort tends to show in the face, and that is the opposite of what I want for your photos. Whatever you choose to wear should be comfy and make you feel like the stunning human you are!

Feel free to send me a picture of any outfit contenders if you would like a second opinion!
